closing it behind me, i called to her<\/p>\n

still trembling from the cold shoulders<\/p>\n

i reminded myself to be confident<\/p>\n

to lose like a man, walk away with honor<\/p>\n

the shine from her room lit up the sm\"Honey<\/a>oke<\/p>\n

i followed the clouds on the long walk<\/p>\n

the pictures, the carpet, all the same<\/p>\n

she was there, sitting sideways, relaxed<\/p>\n

a glass of red wine sat on the nightstand<\/p>\n

i didn’t feel my face, i was a ghost<\/p>\n

small talk in the fog became heavy<\/p>\n

she saw me hide myself from her<\/p>\n

the feelings were hard as the handcuffs<\/p>\n

her lips were softer than her thighs<\/p>\n

squeezing my waist, my soul cried<\/p>\n

hot tears escaped, i stared into her eyes<\/p>\n

it was the same, there but absent<\/p>\n

i felt absolutely everything and nothing<\/p>\n

a smile, then a tear, then both I noticed<\/p>\n

she touched my face and sighed<\/p>\n

“Honey, is this the way you expected it to go?”<\/p>\n

I knew it could only go one way.<\/p>\n
